4/1: the first glimpses of spring on my morning walk.
4/2: pockets in women’s clothing. It shouldn’t need to be said, but here it is. WOMEN NEED POCKETS, too.
4/3: James Baldwin’s writing. It is as if a salve to every crack of wrong in this world.
4/4: this Instagram account [today.iam.grateful] with daily gratitude videos!
4/5: the company of grandmothers … and the maturity and wisdom (finally!) to appreciate them.Â
4/6: levity. Resting on the principal that there is levity everywhere: here, there, and also there. Hehehe…
4/7: although my relationship to the Catholic Church has morphed and changed in the last year, there is a peace and stillness I’m grateful for during an early Sunday mass.Â
4/8: Goodreads for remembering the books I’ve read and the books I’ve yet to, doing that which my memory could never.Â
4/9: this Mary Oliver poem which reminds me to acknowledge that the gift has been given.Â
4/10:Â more signs of Spring and the power of Zyrtec so that I can enjoy them.
4/11: the ultimate FLOW I experienced while writing this week’s penny post. That creative muscle is getting stronger and stronger. Stay tuned!
4/12: witnessing the strength and desperation of half marathon runners at the finish line. My best friends made running 13.2 miles somehow look fun. I’m begging anyone (anyone!) to convince me otherwise…
4/13: the kindness of a gate agent at O’Hare in Chicago that let me on my flight after I ran my own half marathon from one terminal to another in less than seven minutes.
4/14: spring has blossomed in the days I’ve been away, and this tree outside of my bedroom window tells me so:
4/15: meeting like minded writers and kindred spirits at coffee shops and sharing our fears & hopes.
4/16: that this is my view of a day’s work. I feel oh so lucky…
Until next time,
Kiera
