1/1: this “yes chef” moment:
1/2: the just-returned-from-the-holidays chorus of co-workers’ “how are you?” “How was your Christmas?” “Happy New Year!”
1/3: looking through old & new photos, most of the time they conjure up memories baked in half-truths.
1/4: a pack of fun-size M and Ms that snuck its way into my work bag.
1/5: the feeling of goofiness without inhibition, it feels like the least interrupted self.
1/6: a serene hike which led to the discovery of several beautiful sights
1/7: soaking in the pride I felt after cracking someone’s shell just by being myself.
1/8: freeing myself from the responsibility of others’ emotions. A common phrase I use is: “That’s not mine to hold”.
1/9: this secondary “yes chef” moment with 1/3 the amount of yeast used originally.
1/10: a beautiful walk during my lunch break at work.
1/11: a new found confidence in the work place, knowing that I am valuable.
1/12: a yummy cupcake gifted by my co-workers in early celebration.
1/13: this puppy that has absolutely stolen my heart:
1/14: waking up knowing that the day is mine. I’m reminded of the Annie Dillard quote: “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives”.
1/15: another year around the sun.
